Aluminium.
Completed aluminium roofing and cladding projects across London and the South East, including standing seam roofing, contemporary extensions, and new builds.
What aluminium looks like in practice
Aluminium roofing is available in a wide range of colours and surface finishes, which makes it one of the more versatile choices for contemporary projects. Unlike zinc or copper, it does not develop a natural patina — instead, its appearance is determined by the coating system applied during manufacture. The photos above show completed projects using mill-finish and coated aluminium in standing seam and flat-lock configurations, spanning residential extensions, new builds, and cladding applications.
Typical aluminium projects
Aluminium is a strong choice for contemporary extensions and new builds where a specific colour or a very clean, lightweight finish is required. It is lighter than zinc or copper and does not require the same substrate considerations, which can simplify the build-up. We work with standing seam aluminium systems on both roof and wall applications — often on the same project — giving a consistent material language across the building envelope.
